Georges Achi
Documenting the exhaustive collection of Pocket-watches
By the time of World War I, wrist watches have gradually replaced pocket-watches as handier portable clocks and items of fashion. Pocket-watches have since become an item of auctions and collections. Georges Achi's private pocket-watch collection was started a couple of decades ago and is constituted by more than 350 authentic timepieces.
-scope Ateliers, in collaboration with Myrna Zahar, has documented each item of this collection, and created a binder that reproduces every pocket-watch to scale, captioned with all relevant information.
The end-product is a beautiful leather box inside which the pages are held by gold-plated rings.
