Devising Information Paths and Building Sustainable Connections with the Biosphere Reserve

A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Jabal Moussa spans a rich network of ecosystems in the Keserwan–Jbeil mountains. In collaboration with the Association for the Protection of Jabal Moussa, -scope Ateliers developed an eco-conscious and durable signage and wayfinding system designed to guide visitors through the reserve while respecting its natural environment.

Maps, icons, and trail markers were created to clearly identify hiking paths, vegetation, wildlife, and heritage sites, using a modular and budget-conscious approach. Since 2009, the system has been continuously updated and expanded, ensuring clarity, consistency, and sustainability as the reserve evolves.
