A question turned into a collection of voices, drawings, photographs, and texts from those who stayed. For its seventh issue, the Lebanese gazette asks: why did we stay? Each contributor answers in their own way, from personal letters and poems to drawings, photographs and illustrated stories, creating a publication as varied and personal as the people behind it.

The layout gives everyone their own way of taking up space. Text wanders across the page, illustrations take over when they feel like it, and no two contributions quite behave the same way. The result is less a strict grid than a small neighbourhood, with everyone doing their own thing while somehow living together.
