Nabil Nahas | Don’t Get Me Wrong | Immersion and contemplation
Conceived as an extension of Don’t Get Me Wrong, the publication accompanying the Lebanese Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia brings together essays, visual documentation, and detailed reproductions of Nabil Nahas’ monumental installation. Structured bilingually, with Arabic and English unfolding in dialogue throughout the book, the publication was designed to mirror the layered and immersive nature of the exhibition itself, moving between scholarship, visual contemplation, and material proximity to the work.

The book was conceived less as a catalogue than as a spatial and visual experience in printed form. Careful attention was given to rhythm, scale, and pacing, allowing full reproductions, close-up details, and photographs of the artist at work to coexist with critical essays and curatorial texts. Typography and hierarchy were developed bilingually, allowing Arabic and English to interact fluidly across the spreads without dominance or separation.
