Exhibition wall texts for the Grand Palais

For Nan Goldin’s retrospective This Will Not End Well at the Grand Palais, we collaborated with architect Hala Wardé on the conception and production of the exhibition’s introductory wall panels. Our intervention consisted of a series of bilingual French-English text panels produced on coated aluminum surfaces, designed to accompany the visitor’s movement through the space while remaining fully integrated into the scenographic environment. Typography, spacing, and scale were treated with restraint, allowing the texts to exist in continuity with the spaces of the Grand Palais and the Chapelle Saint-Louis and spatial language developed by Hala Wardé.

The challenge was to ensure clarity and legibility within a highly immersive and emotionally charged exhibition, while preserving the quiet balance between architecture, text, and image.
